"Our Story"
Hi, I’m Abigail. I have always loved stories. But reading has not always been easy for me. Words and spellings were a challenge, sometimes the alphabets seemed to dance on the page. People gave me labels for my struggles, but I realized that labels don’t define us, what we love does.
At one point, the ridicule I faced almost made me hate books. But my love for stories was stronger. That love helped me push forward, and eventually, I wrote children’s storybooks of my own. I’m not perfect with words and spellings yet, but I am better than yesterday, better than the last page I read. Reading is a process, and so is life.
On this journey, I discovered that I am not alone. Many children face the same challenges. Many more don’t even have access to books or support to help them read. That realization gave birth to Story in Every Star.
